Botulinum toxin

Injections of Botulinum toxin reversibly relax the muscles under the skin. Facial lines formed by the pull of these muscles will diminish or disappear.

Botulinum toxin injections are used in the upper face. Crows feet, frown lines on the forehead and between the eyes can be treated. Small amounts are injected using a fine needle.

Results are seen within 3 to 14 days, and last for 3 to 6 months.

All clients have a full consultation prior to treatment. As Botulium toxin is a prescription only medicine part of the consultation involves a telephone consultation with a doctor at Harley Aesthetics.

After treatment clients are advised not to bend forward or lie down for 4 hours. Full post procedure advice is given in writing.

Occasionally clients experience bruising at the injection site and headache. There is a small risk of eyebrow drooping after treatment.
