Anti Wrinkle Injections

This treatment is a well known chemical toxin, used to smooth crows feet, frown and forehead lines. These facial lines are caused by repeated facial expressions such as smiling, raising eyebrows and frowning. The chemical toxin reversibly relaxes the muscles used therefore smoothing lines. Clients who have had regular treatments for some time report the results get better with time.

The toxin takes 2-14 days to work and results last 3-6 months. These treatments are a safe cosmetic treatment and have been used in cosmetic practice for many years. The toxin is also used in wider medical practice for example to treat muscle spasm, or muscle contraction in patients with illnesses such as cerebral palsy.

Some clients with migraine report attacks diminish significantly, following toxin injections to the forehead and frown lines.

The treatment is carried out after full consultation and assessment, including a medical history and consent form.

Pregnant or breast-feeding women are advised against treatment, as are people with certain muscle diseases. Flying is not advised within 7-10 days of treatment.

The treatment is quick, initial treatments including consultation will take 30-45 minutes, subsequent treatments 15-30 minutes.

After effects are generally mild, there will be a small raised red area for about an hour at the injection site. some clients report headache, and occasional bruising.

Clients are given verbal and written aftercare advice.
